United Arab Emirates and Japan have secured their places at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Paraguay 2019 with semi-final wins at the 2019 AFC Beach Soccer Championship.
UAE earned a 3-2 victory over Oman with goals coming from Waleed Beshr, Abbas Ali and Hasham Muntaser, while Japan recorded an emphatic 6-0 win against Palestine.
UAE and Japan will now contest the continental final on Sunday in Pattaya, Thailand to see who will be crowned kings of Asia.
Sunday will also see the AFC’s final ticket to Paraguay punched in the match for third place when losing semi-finalists Oman and Palestine go head to head.
The FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Paraguay 2019 kicks off on 21 November with 16 teams competing for the global prize. As well as hosts Paraguay, African sides Nigeria and Senegal have secured their berths at the tournament.
