NU Sports – Wildcats Earn Spring 2017 CSCAA Scholar All-America Status

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern’s women’s swimming & diving team was named a College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team, as the squad had a grade point above 3.0 in the 2017 spring quarter. 

With a team GPA of 3.53 from the winter quarter, the Wildcats had the third-highest GPA in the Big Ten. The ‘Cats continued to improve academically during the spring quarter, posting a 3.58 GPA.

In addition to being named one of a CSCAA record 720 teams to earn All-America status, seven Wildcats were recognized as individual Scholar All-Americans. Sophomore Olivia Rosendahl, who claimed the Platform at the NCAA Championships as the program’s first-ever individual national champion, was recognized for earning above for earning a GPA above 3.5.

Freshman Nicole Aarts, sophomore Peyton Greenberg and seniors Lacey Locke, Georgie Pettibone, Ellen Stello and Annika Winsnes were named honorable mention selections as individuals who have a 3.5 GPA or above and achieved a “B” time standard.
