Lewis was installed onto the Durham coaching staff and stepped in as head coach in 2013 following illness to Geoff Cook, leading his side to the County Championship title.

He was then given the job on a permanent basis and guided Durham to Royal London One-Day Cup glory in 2014.

Bostock said: ‘We wish Jon all the very best in the future and every success in his next career move.

‘I would like to thank him for his hard work, dedication and outstanding commitment to Durham, Jon will always be welcome back here at Emirates Riverside.’
