Hanoi FC player banned for punching Chinese U17 player in the face

Hanoi FC under 17 player Nguyen Duc Anh has been banned from the remaining matches of Evergrande Cup 2019 after punching an opposition player in the face.

The incident took place when the Vietnamese side were facing China’s Hebei China Fortune under-17 side in the competition. Duc Anh was caught punching his Chinese counterpart in the face, after which he was given the marching orders.

As a result of the incident, the player has been banned from playing the remaining matches and Hanoi have been excluded from the nominations for Fair Play Prize in the competition. The Vietnam Football Federation have received the reports of the incident from the tournament organisers.

As images suggest, the Hebei China Fortune player suffered cuts on his forehead. The duo later met to solve the issue on a personal level as well. Whether VFF decide to take any stern action against the player remains to be seen.
