Southeast Asia’s Premier Gaming Convention GameStart is set to return to action on 12 & 13 October 2019. Eliphant issued a press release which stated that the sixth edition of the gaming event will be organised at Suntec Convention Centre, Singapore in (SCC) Halls 401 to 403.
This year, GameStart will once again feature the SEA Major (SEAM) Asia Finals of the official Capcom Pro Tour 2019 league at GameStart. With their ever-increasing popularity, it is one of the longest-running and largest fighting game tournaments in Asia Pacific. The event is expecting a huge gathering of the best Street Fighter players in the world competing for prize money and a spot in the Capcom Cup at the end of the year.
Although the guests for GameStart have not been announced yet, one can be certain that the list will carry the dream of every gamer. After all, they had International wrestling Superstar Kenny Omega and Overwatch voice actress Elise Zhang on their panel last year.
Apart from gaming competitions, the event also organises cosplay, retro gaming, tabletop gaming, indie games and much more to keep the visitors entertained.
In 2018, GameStart hosted 27,000 visitors flocking from all across the world. It is interesting to note that this figure was twice of what the event witnessed in their inaugural edition back in 2014. These numbers are bound to increase with the growing popularity and dominance of GameStart in the world of Esports.
