Daniel Ricciardo has taken the wraps off this season’s Renault as he prepares for a new chapter in his Formula One career.

Australian Ricciardo ended his lengthy association with Red Bull to make his surprise move to Renault.

Ricciardo won twice for Red Bull last year, but Renault are yet to secure a podium finish since they returned to the grid as a standalone constructor in 2016.

Four-time F1 world champion Alain Prost stands between the drivers during Tuesday’s launch

‘Last year a lot happened and it was a big decision for me,’ said Ricciardo. ‘I felt this was the right place to move on for the next chapter in my career.

‘The ambition is there and there is no level of complacency but a big goal ahead and that excites me.’

Renault unveiled their latest challenger, the R.S.19 at the team’s Enstone base, with the team hoping to build on their impressive fourth place form 2018.

Since regaining control of the team from Lotus in 2016, the team have steadily risen up the grid and will now hope to challenge the big three of Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari who will all unveil their new cars later in the week.
