Sri Lanka may have surprised the world with their 2-0 win in the Test series but their ODI struggles are far from over. And with the World Cup just two and a half months away, they will be certainly feeling the heat. Are they even sure about the 15 they are going to take to England? I’m not so sure. There are reports that Chandika Hathurusingha will be getting the sack as well. For now, all they can do is focus on the final ODI today. They lost 5-0 in the ODIs last time they came to South Africa and they are 4-0 down now. The task is going to be tough though with a batting paradise expected in Newlands.
South Africa despite bossing the series, will be looking to give JP Duminy and Imran Tahir the perfect send off in their final ODI at home. Both stalwarts have announced they will retire from the format after the conclusion of the 2019 World Cup. Quinton de Kock has been going through a great run registering one century and three half-centuries in the series but South Africa will want contributions from the rest as well today. Welcome to the live blog for this final ODI. Will Sri Lanka make it 4-1 or will it another whitewash for the visitors?
