Kohli off the field

Ok, so not great news for Indian fans to begin the day. Virat Kohli was off the field for a while yesterday and today he hasn’t come out. Rahane is captaining the side and Kohli’s absence is a cause for concern. He isn’t someone who stays out for minor issues. Hopefully, he will be back sometime soon.

Build up:

Chris Woakes, who already has a 10-wicket haul (in a match) at Lord’s, cracked his maiden Test hundred as England found themselves in a very strong position at close of play on Day 3 – in front by 250 runs. Jonny Bairstow too made a fine contribution with a stroke-filled 93.

Indian bowlers struggled for consistency. Mohammed Shami was the best of the lot as he bowled zest-filled spells to snare a three-wicket haul.

So will the home side declare or continue to bat on? There could be a few showers on the way, which might influence their decision. Send in your opinions to @Narbavi and have them featured on the blog.
