Atletico Madrid’s top scorer this season leads the anytime goalscorer market and his form makes him the obvious pick to score in Wednesday’s showpiece
Wednesday night’s Europa League final could be Antoine Griezmann’s penultimate game in an Atletico Madrid shirt.
The French international has been strongly linked with a move away from the Spanish capital and there is every chance that he is playing his football elsewhere next season.
On native soil and in a European final, Griezmann will surely want to impress against Marseille and add to his tally of 27 goals in all competitions this season.
The 27-year-old has netted four goals in six Europa League starts this season and remains Atletico’s most dangerous player.
Diego Costa, meanwhile, is priced at 8/5 (2.60) to find the back of the net and it was his goal against Arsenal which secured Los Rojiblancos’ place in the final.
The Spanish international has only scored seven goals in all competitions since rejoining the club in January, though, with Griezmann carrying the side in front of goal.
Marseille danger duo
Marseille’s top scorer in Ligue 1 is Florian Thauvin, who has netted 22 times this term and is the shortest priced player for the French side to score at 13/5 (3.60).
Thauvin, however, is not Marseille’s top scorer in the competition with his four strikes in the Europa League surpassed by Valere Germain.
Tips and predictions
The smart money should surely be going on Griezmann to find the back of the net and finding him at odds-against to score at anytime is surely too good an opportunity to pass up.
Atletico’s second top scorer in the competition after Griezmann is midfielder Saul Niguez, who is priced at 4/1 (5.00) to net – making him an interesting value bet option.
For Marseille, Argentine midfielder Lucas Ocampos has 16 goals this term, four in the Europa League and is available at 11/2 (6.50) to score at anytime.
