Our tipster is backing Manuel Pellegrini’s Hammers to come out on top when they travel to take on the Seagulls in the Premier League on Friday night
Brighton will be hoping to halt West Ham United’s recent revival when the two teams meet for Friday night football from the Premier League.
The Hammers had failed to pick up any points from their first four league matches, but Manuel Pellegrini’s side have since secured seven points from fixtures against Everton, Chelsea and Manchester United respectively.
Furthermore, West Ham were 8-0 winners against Macclesfield Town in the League Cup last month and, so, the east Londoners will surely be brimming with belief ahead of their showdown with the Seagulls.
Brighton have failed to win any of their six matches since beating Manchester United in August and can be backed at 8/5 (2.60) with SportPesa to buck that trend here, while the same firm go 9/4 (3.25) that both sides settle for a point.
The Hammers are chalked up as a 19/10 (2.90) chance to maintain momentum and secure their fourth win in five matches.
Pascal Gross remains as Brighton’s only absentee. The mercurial midfielder has sat out of Brighton’s last three matches and the Seagulls are unquestionably missing the spark provided by the 27-year-old German.
Andy Carroll, Winston Reid, Manuel Lanzini and Jack Wilshere are sidelined for the Hammers, with all four long-term concerns for Pellegrini.
A high-scoring contest?
The Seagulls scored six goals in their two matches against the Hammers last term and have netted in nine of their last 10 Premier League matches at Amex Stadium, but have managed just one clean sheet in their last dozen league matches at the venue.
The Hammers are starting to gel and there are clear signs that their summer recruitment drive is beginning to reap rewards.
Pellegrini’s side are full of confidence and the Hammers could represent real value at 19/10 (2.90) with SportPesa to pick up all three points against Brighton at Amex Stadium on Friday night.
