Both the Bangladesh Premier League games, Sylhet Sixers versus Khulna Titans and Dhaka Dynamites against Chittagong Vikings, were washed out on Wednesday (November 15) due to incessant rain. All four teams earned one point each as a result of the two games being abandoned.
The first game of the double-header, Sixers versus Titans, was hit by persistent drizzle. Unfortunately, as the rain didn’t relent and the umpires decided to call off the match at 15.32 local time. To make matters worse, the downpour got heavier as the day progressed and at 19.00 local time, the second game (Dynamites against Vikings) too was called off.
Sixers have seven points and they are placed joint-first with the Dynamites franchise, while Titans slot in at fourth position with five points. Meanwhile, Vikings languish at fifth position with just three points against their name.
As per the weather forecast, it could rain heavily for a few more days. So there is a threat of inclement weather affecting the double-header (Titans versus Vikings and Rajshahi Kings against Sixers) on Friday (November 17).
